Support Jenna's Legacy

We appreciate any and all efforts made to furthering Jenna’s Legacy and supporting our cause in any way that suits you best.

become an organ donor

Register to become an Organ Donor

Less than 0.3% of South Africans are registered organ donors, despite SA being the ‘home’ of the heart transplant. This shocking statistic (we need hundreds of thousands more donors) means at least 4,300 people await a life-saving organ transplant on any given day.

It is quick, easy and costs nothing to register as a donor. Your organs could save up to seven lives when you die.

Why donate funds?

Jenna was determined to change the landscape of Pulmonary Hypertension in South Africa, to help other PH sufferers get an earlier diagnosis to increase their life expectancy. PH is a rare, degenerative lung disease for which there is no cure. Early diagnosis and access to treatment is critical to improve a patients quality of life – and yet these treatments are expensive and access is difficult. To this end we support The Jenna Lowe PH Clinic at Grooteschuur Hospital as well as initiate many other important projects to help empower patients and honour Jenna’s legacy. She also wanted to improve organ donation in SA so that more patients can receive the life-saving transplants they desperately need. Without your financial assistance we simply cannot exist, let alone continue to make a difference.

  • A Medical Narrative Documentary for global distribution called “Get Me to 21 – The Jenna Lowe Story”, to further spread awareness of the disease thereby ensuring earlier diagnosis and patient empowerment.
  • Following the 6th World Symposium for Pulmonary Hypertension held in Nice, France in 2017; Gabi Lowe, mother of the late Jenna Lowe and Director of the Trust, has been seconded onto a Patient Empowerment Task Force with the PVRI. She currently working with highly acclaimed International Doctors (specialists in PH) to strategise and develop ways to empower patients world-wide amongst other important patient driven projects.
  • The Jenna Lowe Trust held the first ever Patients Perspective PH Symposium in SA in 2023 at Faircape. If funds are available we hope to repeat these every 2-3 years – it was highly informative and empowering for patients with access to experience and expertise from all over SA and the States.

Kristi’s Music

‘I Need More Time’, which launched on KFM in June 2012 went to number 3 on the iTunes ZA Pop Chart in just one day!

Kristi is currently working on a number of new tracks. ‘Take Me Away’ was the first single Kristi released since her sister’s passing, and it is dedicated to Jenna and her incredible legacy. Her newest single ‘Not Here To Please You’ was written as a reflection of Kristi’s experience as a women in a world dominated by men.
